Pros

There are good benefits. The job is stable and if I do a reasonable job I feel like I will have a place to be employed. I do enjoy working with the patients. There are lots of world-class physicians and medical experts here. I enjoy being around the research and education environment.

Cons

In my particular division, people with my job (physician assistant) are treated less respectfully than at other organizations where I have worked. There are lots of layers of management here but relatively few people to actually do the work of taking care of patients. "The needs of the patient come first" is not what I have always seen here. They are not flexible or open to change in terms of employee satisfaction (alternative schedules, etc). Change does not happen fast here. I think it may be different in different departments but I have seen a definite downturn in the work environment in the past 7 years that I've been here.

Pros

Good hospital environment very people friendly

Cons

The pay is very low for the amount of work. The work is very overwhelming please believe me. I usually don’t write reviews but I wanted to help someone out. They started my entire class off with 21 dollars no matter your work experience or education. Which is very unusual. The pay range on the application is very misleading. You get 5 points in your out of there. I saw my coworkers in the bathroom crying because of the work load. The benefits are high not very affordable. You must be in the position a year an order to leave the department which isn’t disappointing
