Pros

Pay is fairly at par for industry standards.

Cons

The Mayo Clinic has, without exaggeration, the worst professional environment I have ever encountered. Within the corporate entity, operations are extremely disorganized and senior leadership has very questionable priorities. In my experience, there is no end to working hours, and you will be expected to work through evenings, weekends and while on PTO - making the compensation a wash. On top of that, the working environment - particularly among management - frequently veers into the extremely negative. The health insurance is also the worst of any employer I have ever known. If you are considering working at the Mayo Clinic, I would urge you to seriously take stock of that choice and have a back-up plan in place.

Pros

Good hospital environment very people friendly

Cons

The pay is very low for the amount of work. The work is very overwhelming please believe me. I usually don’t write reviews but I wanted to help someone out. They started my entire class off with 21 dollars no matter your work experience or education. Which is very unusual. The pay range on the application is very misleading. You get 5 points in your out of there. I saw my coworkers in the bathroom crying because of the work load. The benefits are high not very affordable. You must be in the position a year an order to leave the department which isn’t disappointing
