Pros
Depending on location lots of overtime available at plants. Ultimately was an easy job with enjoyable people. Many avenues for movement. Good benefits by todays standards.
Cons
Apparently exposure to some hazardous materials was discovered while I worked there requiring PAPRs to be used in some positions. Could get boring sometimes but after all it’s work. Definitely not the way the last generation described it. Very corporatized, people making lots of money doing less work, people working hard making less money.
