Pros
McCormick offers some opportunities for professional growth, and certain teams are collaborative and supportive.
Cons
During my time at McCormick, I experienced significant challenges that negatively impacted my work environment. I encountered instances of discrimination and racism, including biased treatment in task assignments and promotions, which created a sense of unfairness. These issues were not adequately addressed by management despite being raised. Additionally, the workplace culture felt heavily dominated by certain groups, particularly employees from Polish and South African backgrounds, which sometimes led to exclusionary dynamics and made it difficult for others to feel fully integrated or valued. Favoritism appeared to influence decisions, further contributing to an uneven playing field. The lack of effective diversity and inclusion policies was evident, and HR processes for handling complaints felt dismissive or ineffective. This environment made it challenging to thrive professionally and feel respected as part of the team.
