Pros
I’ve spent a decade in various sales and management positions but this is my first experience in automotive sales and it has been fantastic. It is not the sharky, misleading and immoral cliche associated with the industry. I finally feel like the amount of time, emotional, and physical effort I invest is equitable. Benefits are good, the environment is positive, and I cannot speak on every dealer but overall it has been the best job and career choice I could have made.
Cons
It is a sales job so you get out what you put in. Hours are fluid, sometimes long and you may need to work your days off depending on clients needs but you can create balance. Honestly, almost any Con is going to come from individual clients not the environment itself.
