I was thrown into very challenging work very early in my tech career. Worked with some truly great people who helped me grow professionally.
Cons
I made 43k implementing automation testing and leading a module migration. Heck yes I was under qualified but I did it and did it well though it stressed me the f out. (USA, Philadelphia area). I learned after I left that others in the department made quite a bit more. I asked for a 50% raise at my next company only to learn that that was still below market because that job was EASIER. I was manually testing defects. That’s it. That was my whole job. No automation, minimal sql. If that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about this place I don’t know what does. I’m speechless, frankly. I made more briefly working as a barista. Know your worth. Don’t accept less.
