Pros
The patients, most of the owners.
Cons
I cannot say enough bad things about my experience at Medvet. If you are looking for a place to work that respects you as a human being, continue your search because it won’t be here. From the abusive bullying of management, the denial of appropriate compensation while those freshly hired make 2-3$ more than you (or more), the shrugged off approach to harassment complaints, to the complete lack of advancement opportunities (unless you’re drinking buddies with someone higher up), I left this place a shell of the person I was when I started. I have never experienced such unprofessional management in my life, nor have ever been pushed to the brink of my sanity by a job. Don’t you dare try to be an advocate for yourself either, or you’ll end up being the target for further abuse! Since leaving earlier this year, I’ve been thrilled to find that not all hospitals are run this way. Do better, Medvet. Clean house. Stop building yourself up by climbing on the backs of your employees.
