      Pros

      I left my previous position with West Vet right as they were acquired by MedVet. The policies that were in place at that time were not conducive to me remaining employed. I was hesitant to apply to the company again for fear this policies would still be in place. They are not. This was an immense relief and I have found that the current policies in place that focus on the wellbeing of the employees are amazing. I am glad I gave this company another chance.

      Cons

      Our specific clinic is emergency only and there are only two downsides I have found: 1) We need more space! The clinic is tiny! Expansion or moving to a larger location would help us provide better service to our community. 2) I wish MedVet had an emergency assistance fund for low income clients. I've been in the veterinary industry for over 10 years, I am well aware of all the issues with clients not putting funds aside for their animals... but I truly belive that if we had a fund to help some of our clients out, the choices of outcome for their pets could be changed and they wouldn't necessarily have to face euthanasia as their only option.

      Thorough training process, my manager was very flexible with my schedule, and staff is great!

      Very generous employee discount for employee pets Ability to bring my pet to work with me, extra helpful on days when my dog has physical therapy appointments scheduled Good team work, everyone seems to answer questions or is willing to explain things Management checks in to see if I feel supportive or if there's anything I need

      Cons

      I've been at my position for a month now and really don't have any negatives at the moment.
