Pros

-Work Life Balance, -Remote Opportunities When I first started at Medical Solutions I loved the work, my team and manager. Having the ability to work from home with a flexible work schedule was a huge bonus. Ever since the new CEO took over, the Company has gone down hill.

Cons

-No Job Security -Poor Communication -Poor Transparency -Poor Compensation -Favoritism Ever since the new CEO took over at the beginning of 2024, the company has started to flounder with layoffs happening continually. There have been so many lay offs since she took over that employees are in constant fear of losing their jobs. Every company meeting we have had recently has been to tell us how poorly the company is doing and how much money they are losing yet they have spent who knows how much money on a new program they had made for them. A program that was not ready to be rolled out to the Agencies or Travelers that work with Medical Solutions, forcing them to use a broken system that causes headaches and frustrations for everyone. They are also giving the Sales team an opportunity for several of them to win an all inclusive vacation to the Philippines or Jamaica. Rather than saving money and doing what they can to keep their employees, they are spending it on things that are not needed at this time or at all and laying off honest hard working people who don't deserve to lose their jobs. I was laid off in the most recent round and I'm somewhat thankful. Better to be kicked off of a sinking ship than go down with it and Medical Solutions is definitely sinking.

Pros

You get a laptop and mouse

Cons

Leadership below the VP level gets in the way of that development. Management leans heavily on rigid, arbitrary metrics — for example, a call-quota formula (100+ calls/day) that doesn't hold up and is flawed when you actually look at how it's calculated. There's heavy oversight of clock-in/out times, lunch breaks, and even restroom time, which creates a culture of surveillance rather than trust. We are adults, no need for micromanaging. Direct Management doesn't separate emotional reactions from business outcomes — when numbers are down, that frustration is visible and passed onto the team rather than handled constructively. When leadership does phone demonstrations to "show how it's done," the execution often doesn't match the standard being enforced, which undermines credibility with the team. There's limited career growth here, financially or in terms of advancement, especially at the SDR/BDR level.
