Pros
The company appreciates a hard worker. Coming into a new work place and putting in a subpar work ethic will get you the same return. The best part about Medicus is that new ideas are heard, appreciated and applied (when logical and timely). The support from upper management is strong, and the relationships formed with managers/team leads are fantastic - they are the strongest relationships I've formed in a workplace thus far. The company has put a conscious effort into repairing (for lack of better words) the areas that need improvement as learned in surveys stemming back to 2018. Communication has strengthened significantly; there is more visibility to our leaders who are ultimately making changes that impact the entire organization; we are given multiple opportunities to speak up and voice our thoughts/ideas throughout each month, quarter and year (town hall gatherings, quarterly awards, VTO meetings); and most importantly, Medicus has taken the feedback they've received on toxicity very seriously. It's true - times have changed over the last several years. I encourage those reading this to look at that as a positive. Some other pros: - perks & opportunity to win all-inclusive tropical vacation (through production and nominations) - company wide contests, often in the summer resulting in extra PTO, onsite vendors, paid meals, etc. - many opportunities to jump into projects "outside" your assigned role/wheelhouse - ability to sell and recruit across all service lines rather than one specialty - several people involved in each transaction allowing for workload(s) to be spread evenly - company and practice outings - flexibility to work from home as needed (must be approved by manager/HR - we are not a fully remote organization) - onsite gym, fitness classes, basketball leagues, run club, golf tournaments and more - dozens of discounts at local shops/gyms/restaurants with Medicus badge - opportunities to get involved with training and mentoring new-hires
Cons
Must be okay with change! Change is directly correlated to innovation which is one of Medicus' core values. The ability to think outside the box, be flexible and ready to shift gears at any given time is an attribute one must possess to really be confident in their role at Medicus, and ultimately embrace our core values.
