Pros
Benefits are on-par Pay is on-par for certain roles New building was nice to move into (On-site Gym, Cafeteria, Starbucks On-Site) Technology seems on-par for employees and meeting rooms Shuttles to/ from certain Metra stations
Cons
Family - The owners don't care about you, unless they know and like you. Management - All upper/ executive management are guys that have been there from "Old Medline" time and aren't good at their job, but were promoted since they 'knew' the family Jewish Inclusion - only the right type of 'Jew' is allowed to be promoted to executive management. Yes, nothing anti-semetic here, its actually the opposite at this company. Communication - communication on all levels is broken. For "Old Medline" employees, people have to tip-toe around them in order to not make them feel uncomfortable yet get reprimanded for saying something that could be construed as 'rude'. Advancement - non existent unless you know the family or know someone high up that likes you. They will string people along for years even when the person exceeds past the whole group. Don't expect to ever work from home. They have the capabilities to do so, but will not let you (oh, unless you are high enough up and know the family). Special treatment is a BIG problem here. They believe that if they throw certain benefits at employees, they can cover up what a terrible company this is. Shady managers across all areas (operations, sales, executives). Work here for a year, then move on to a better company. I worked here for several and dealt with their all of these Cons, then moved on. If the POTUS signs a tariff to tax healthcare products from China, Medline will go out of business.
