Pros
You can make some decent money, but you have to find ways to create you own niche. No one will give you anything.
Cons
The sales organization is not healthy. It is a cut throat environment. The sales quota system is not applied equally. Some reps get a pass. One rep has made quota for 20 years straight but only has a total sales volume of $4 million. Everyone is given a growth minimum of 20%. This rep should be selling in excess of $50 million for hitting quota for that many years, yet every year he gets the "steady eddy" award.
