Pros

Medline does a good job of giving employees the power to make decisions and build up your product line. It's a good experience for future job opportunities if you ever wanted to start your own business or work as a PM at another company.

Cons

I've been here for a while and unfortunately have felt the same way since day 1. Even while being promoted multiple times. Medline really has the opportunity to be a great company for young people, but the culture ruins it. And quite frankly they don't care. Medline has seen 10%+ growth every year for countless years, so in their mind everything is working. I'm afraid my good teammates and direct reports will leave. Everybody is way over worked. If you're traveling, expect to work 18-20 hour days. Unfortunately, nobody has any respect for this and you'll get hundreds of emails and requests while you're supposed to be in the hospital in-servicing or selling. A standard day is a 12+ hour work day. If you take the shuttle from the city, you get on the shuttle around 6:30, get into the office at 7am, then the shuttle leaves the office at 5pm to go downtown. A 10 hour work day is considered "short" or "standard". When talking to HR they have said "We're OK with this because PMs can also work on the shuttle since it has Wi-Fi". How are you just "OK" with a 10 hour office day? As if they're doing employees a favor. It's never enough here. The training for new APMs and PMs is pretty horrible. We feel bad as a team when bringing on new employees because nobody has the bandwidth to train. If you train your team properly, you're going to work 6am-8pm EASILY. Resources are hard to come by and require way too much approval. Burnout here is real. Everybody is so busy here, after a while they forget there are other jobs out there with regular hours. So many people are emailing at 6am and throughout the evening until midnight. It's not healthy. I was hesitant to write this, but something has to change. This place has potential, but I'm afraid it'll take a nosedive if we stop caring for our employees. PM's don't feel valued, sales reps don't feel heard, and nobody feels like they matter.
