Pros

Very few pros. Some really good coworkers, and connections.

Cons

Please do not work for this company if you have any self-respect. This company is corrupt, people are quitting every week. They advertise that they have been awarded the title of top workplace, and that they offer competitive pay and benefits, but this is not true. If you are working for them for any position lower than management level, you will be underpaid by about $20,000. In addition to this, their health insurance is a joke. It is absolutely ridiculous with how expensive it is, and it does not have good coverage. The moral is so low, and management is oblivious to the fact, or they choose to overlook it. HR also does not keep complaints and reports confidential, despite the fact that you requested that it be kept confidential. People are so overworked that things are constantly getting overlooked and quality events are a common occurrence. Sponsor companies are lied to and constantly misled. There is never the intention to follow through with promises or guarantees.

Although our preference would be not to debate a complaint from a former disgruntled employee in a public forum, we feel compelled to respond to the offensive and untrue accusations made. Unfortunately, we recognize that you were unhappy with your exit, and do not feel that you received the management support needed to successfully do your job. We are very aware that Medpace is going through a period of high growth within the organization. Our leadership has made a great effort to acknowledge the efforts of valued employees during a busy season. We take our mission to accelerate the global development of safe and effective therapeutics seriously and welcome the growth that comes with it despite potential times of high volume. We take offense to the allegation that we do so with anything less than complete integrity with regard to our work product and our relationships with Sponsors. Any issues brought to HR are a priority. They are all reviewed, and then escalated as necessary. We are always willing to address specific concerns, and also make it clear that we will escalate depending on the specific concern. In your case, we felt that escalation of your concerns was imperative, and we respectfully disagree with your allegation that it was a breach confidentially to do so. We are disappointed you chose to end your career with Medpace on a negative note, but wish you luck in all future endeavors.

Coworkers are willing to help you and answer questions.

Cons

Abysmal pay for industry standards. Work will be piled on continuously. More and more studies. Forced to present impossible timelines. And then you have to speak to why these timelines were not met after the fact when it's outside of your control. Travel expectations thrown at you with a couple days notice. CEO micromanages the entire company. They track when you badge in and badge out of the building. You have to badge out to exit. Upper management throws you under the bus in front of sponsor despite agreeing with you in prep call and telling you they will have your back. People here work crazy long hours late into the evening and think it's normal.
