Pros

Nothing, and I am not exaggerating. Read the reviews. DO NOT WORK HERE.

Cons

Everyone is underpaid. And I mean everyone. Software developers can get away with anything. Employees with significant tenure are gods. No one takes responsibility for things that are their fault. This results in errors much later in the software development life cycle being blamed on validation members for “not catching” these problems. Middle management can mistreat employees without being reprimanded. This is because the company doesn’t want to take the time from it’s firehose-speed development to train better and more positive-temperament employees. This company hires anyone and everyone that has the “skills” to do the job. And by skills I mean keywords on a resume, not actual learned proficiency. Some people here don’t know a lick about technology. A monkey could have passed my interview. Most management is awful, or simply does not have the power or respect to get anything changed. Achievements go completely unnoticed. Endless backlog with no goals in sight. NOT AGILE. No business team. Developers talk directly to users and say yes to every proposed feature, piling on more and more custom, non-intuitive features onto already garbage software that is incredibly difficult to validate. All this company cares about is compliance and doing the absolute bare minimum to make it’s employees tolerate the company. It’s laughable. 2020 and no remote policy, absolutely absurd. CEO is awful. The job descriptions lie. Run away screaming for your life from this place. I’ve worked at really good and really bad companies. This is not just specific to my position. Everyone here hates it. Any positive image interviewers paint of Medpace is a lie. Run.

Yikes! We’re very sorry to hear you have negative feelings toward the organization. With any successful and growing organization, change is to be expected. Admittedly, there has been change in the organization over the last few years due to our high growth rate. We acknowledge that as a company, we do have high standards and expect a lot of our employees. We are extremely excited about the growth we’re seeing, and have plans in place to ensure our organization can keep up with the growth and continue to be successful, while still ensuring our employees enjoy the work environment we have created. In regards to compensation, we review this regularly. We consistently work with our Compensation and Benefits team to review salary and benchmarks to assure we are aligned with the market while also being competitive in the industry. We also acknowledge that Medpace is not a fit for everyone, and we are okay with that. Every employee has different needs, and it is unrealistic to think we can meet all of them. However, we always try our best to make every employee feel valued and satisfied in their position at the organization. It is simply unreasonable to claim all Medpace employees hate their place of work. Our double-digit growth rate begs to differ! :) We encourage you to reach out directly to your HR Representative to discuss in more detail. Thank you!

Pros

Coworkers are willing to help you and answer questions.

Cons

Abysmal pay for industry standards. Work will be piled on continuously. More and more studies. Forced to present impossible timelines. And then you have to speak to why these timelines were not met after the fact when it's outside of your control. Travel expectations thrown at you with a couple days notice. CEO micromanages the entire company. They track when you badge in and badge out of the building. You have to badge out to exit. Upper management throws you under the bus in front of sponsor despite agreeing with you in prep call and telling you they will have your back. People here work crazy long hours late into the evening and think it's normal.
