Pros
- Career/future driven, from day 1 we discussed my career and how I will grow with the company
- Relaxing environment that still remains professional
- There is no micromanaging, it is expected you get your work finished in a timely manner, and as long as you do that there are no complaints or issues
- Coffee/tea/soft drinks/hot chocolate/etc provided on each floor in each building
- Free lunch (it’s a salad everyday, but it’s free, if you don’t want it then don’t eat it, delicious!) plus there is a food truck outside everyday which you can buy from
- Gym on site (I haven’t used it, but what a nice perk!)
- My insurance just came in the mail, but the coverage looks much better than my previous employer
- FLEX TIME - I did this for the first time last week and was able to leave at 11 am on Friday for my trip without using any vacation! Talk about AWESOME!
- Two floating holidays which can be used for any normal vacation day, plus the vacation is given upfront (3 weeks). Really nice to not have to accrue it with time
- They are extremely flexible on work hours, and let you set your own schedule (which then as I said you can change by flexing!!) As a morning person I get off at 4 pm everyday, but the girl next to me is a night owl and comes in late/works until 8 pm. They really care about their employees here and recognize that happy employees are going to work harder and smarter
- Casual dress, which is just a nice option to have
- Fantastic training, they are working hard to improve and give better tools to current and future employees. My boss is really making sure we are ready instead of throwing us in the deep end
- I came into the job a little weary because I had met 3 previous employees with horrendous opinions. It was a perfect position with a company I could see a future with and that was my next professional step, so I really hoped it would work out. I can say not one thing I heard from them is true anymore, it seems the company went through some hard times with the rapid growth rate and not being able to provide appropriate training/overworking employees. That is definitely not the case anymore, so I would encourage potential applicants/employees to look at more recent reviews.
Cons
- They have (obviously) very negative reviews online which they seem to finally be tackling successfully
- Some of the training material is redundant and exams can be tricky, but the new program just came out in the Fall so I’m sure over the next few years it will be improved upon
- The company is growing incredibly fast and Medpace is trying desperately to keep up. With the addition of the new building I think we will have more space for new employees.
