Pros

-training program -company mobile phone -excellent travel department

Cons

CEO cares more about money than people. With the CoV-2 pandemic , the company expects CRAs to travel in light of FDA guidance. This is a risk to health and should be reported to the labor Department . The nepotism of the CEO is appalling when good workers are fired for no reason. He’s more into his hotel than providing parking for employees. HR is a joke . They side with more ‘seasoned’ employees over new ones and don’t keep anything confidential . When you complain, you get fired . Their responses to these Glassdoor reviews are laughable . They dangle a bonus (based on your hard work ) over your head to coerce performance. The bonus is supposed to be alleviation for working 60hr weeks during travel times and the company will deny this if you don’t drink the company KookAid.

Wow! We are taken back by the accusations you’ve made in this review, specifically those made about our CEO, HR department, and the integrity of our company. To begin, Medpace is proud to be able to provide discretionary bonuses and other incentive rewards in addition to standard salary to employees who meet or exceed performance expectations. We understand it can be very disappointing not to receive a desired bonus. However, minimum eligibility and performance standards apply to all employees here at Medpace and are reviewed during this process. Our HR department prioritizes any issues brought forward by our employees. They are all reviewed and then escalated as necessary. We are always willing to address specific concerns and cannot always promise confidentiality. We make it clear that we will escalate depending on the specific concern and sometimes the nature of the concern requires some disclosure in order to resolve. We take all concerns seriously and investigate thoroughly. In regard to COVID-19, this global pandemic is new to all of us. We are navigating as best as we can and assure you we are taking this very seriously. We are complying with CDC guidelines of social distancing in the organization, extra cleaning services regularly throughout the building, and are allowing the majority of our employees to work from home 100% of the time for the next two weeks. This will be evaluated based on new information we get daily on the spread of the virus. For hourly employees who are not able to do their jobs remotely, we are ensuring they are still paid during this time even if they are unable to work their normal hours. The safety and wellbeing of our employees is our number 1 priority. As a healthcare company, we recognize the importance of the clinical trials we are currently running and the need to continue to fight all disease and continue our mission to accelerate the global development of safe and effective medical therapeutics. For our CRAs in particular this does mean continuing to monitor in ways that are safe and effective, and which allow for our clinical patients to still receive the benefits of the drugs or therapies provided to them by virtue of our studies.

Pros

Coworkers are willing to help you and answer questions.

Cons

Abysmal pay for industry standards. Work will be piled on continuously. More and more studies. Forced to present impossible timelines. And then you have to speak to why these timelines were not met after the fact when it's outside of your control. Travel expectations thrown at you with a couple days notice. CEO micromanages the entire company. They track when you badge in and badge out of the building. You have to badge out to exit. Upper management throws you under the bus in front of sponsor despite agreeing with you in prep call and telling you they will have your back. People here work crazy long hours late into the evening and think it's normal.
