Pros

This company gave me a chance to get into clinical research when others would not. Thanks to Medpace, I have found a field I enjoy. The free lunch and soda/coffee/tea is nice. Food trucks come to the area a couple times a week. The office environment is quiet and the cubicles are large and not shared.

Cons

Where do I begin? There is so much pressure, stress, and anxiety here to perform. Many here work 40+ hours with CRAs working 60+ a week. Management understands this is a problem but has no idea how to alleviate it. New employees are being hired but sponsors do not want to work with new CRAs and the experienced ones get more work. The morale is incredibly low. I could go on, but I just feel depressed walking in the doors of this building. I cannot wait to work for a company with a better attitude.

Pros

Coworkers are willing to help you and answer questions.

Cons

Abysmal pay for industry standards. Work will be piled on continuously. More and more studies. Forced to present impossible timelines. And then you have to speak to why these timelines were not met after the fact when it's outside of your control. Travel expectations thrown at you with a couple days notice. CEO micromanages the entire company. They track when you badge in and badge out of the building. You have to badge out to exit. Upper management throws you under the bus in front of sponsor despite agreeing with you in prep call and telling you they will have your back. People here work crazy long hours late into the evening and think it's normal.
