Pros

I love my small team. While there are busy times of year, the work load has generally been manageable- though it seems it depends on how your manager delegates work.

Cons

Upper management, specifically the CEO is a control freak that has no grasp on successful business models. Medpace treats young families, especially new moms, like crap. Benefits are constantly up in the air, and there is no open communication.

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding benefits, we offer various plans based on employee needs, and we consistently review our benefits each year to be sure we are meeting associate expectations and remaining aligned with market. In addition, Medpace does offer maternity leave and provides salary continuation coverage through our short-term disability policy.  Like most companies within the United States our maternity benefits are limited in duration, but we support our associates and their growing families through all phases of life. We encourage you to reach out to your line manager or HR Representative to discuss any concerns or suggestions.

Pros

Coworkers are willing to help you and answer questions.

Cons

Abysmal pay for industry standards. Work will be piled on continuously. More and more studies. Forced to present impossible timelines. And then you have to speak to why these timelines were not met after the fact when it's outside of your control. Travel expectations thrown at you with a couple days notice. CEO micromanages the entire company. They track when you badge in and badge out of the building. You have to badge out to exit. Upper management throws you under the bus in front of sponsor despite agreeing with you in prep call and telling you they will have your back. People here work crazy long hours late into the evening and think it's normal.
