Pros
Training program for entry-level associates - not the best training program, but it'll work to get you what you need to start off. It's certainly easy enough to get through and several people have slipped through the cracks over time. Having said this, if you have a fair bit of competence then you'll be fine - if you don't, you'll probably be fine. The people of the company can be incredible. The only reason I've stayed as long as I have. This company is nothing more than a leaping platform for your career. You may be fortunate enough to get on the right side of the ladder, but that'll require you to be submissive and malleable. These are the most objective words I can find in all honesty. All in all, it's a good starting company, but if you have any sense of self, intelligence, and a desire to flourish in an industry where the sky is the limit, then this company is not for you. I can not emphasize intelligence enough. There are plenty of smart people in this company, but these people are not located within the Clinical Operations unit.
Cons
A company who's trajectory appears to be trending up, but upon closer examination shows significant issues within its infrastructure. You will not have much to do after your training process, but then it will pick up. Eventually you'll be spread so thin that you'll forget where you live. This is not so much an issue as it's a prevalent aspect of CRA life. The biggest issue is that you're working hard for effectively no reason. There is no such thing as working hard and getting ahead in this company. You can receive the highest of praises from all of your direct reports - the same reports that disseminate their praises to your direct supervisor - but it will not yield you anything in the way of progress. If you stick around past two years you will understand. For a good while it will be great, and everything will seem surreal. Time will prove that your chances of progress are low unless you're willing to be a puppeteer - and even that is based on chance.
