Pros

Probably will not go out of business in the next 10 years. If your are willing to cut the throat of your coworkers take constant threats from unqualified managers above you you can rise quickly in the company.

Cons

Where to start? Local management has no education in management at all. People are chosen to move up in to management by how well they blame other employees or keep quiet and take all the verbal abuse and threats from their superiors. Managements solution to any problems is to push their employees until they quit without taking any responsibility to help solve the problem. Employees are pushed to make up for slower employees even if it means having to do several positions at once. Management shows no respect to employees by berating and threatening them in front of other employees and customers. Employees are threatened constantly to be solely responsible for procedures, equipment and security in areas they have no or little control over. Corporate policy changes that take away your pay and make you take more responsibility with no increase in pay. Has eliminated job titles that would include better pay at other companies and forces lower level employees to perform said functions of management. Force to meet deadlines by not taking breaks or lunches. Consistently threatened to have hours cut when unable to reach assigned deadlines or goals. Forced to make up for employees that have specific medical restrictions. Their are no team members here. It is every man for himself. (As told by the Grocery Lines Leader when asking for assistance). Hires part-time seasonal (college kids) and cuts the hours of their regular employees whenever possible.

Pros

Direct coworkers were great to work with. I also enjoyed being left to do my work and not babysat by management.

Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing. Resets and floor plans were regularly not done properly. The store I worked at has a skeleton crew so I never got help (but was expected to stop everything I'm going to go help other departments/areas). Also meaning good luck to any customers needing help, especially when I was the only person working my area of the store, so when I wasn't there, no one was. Management also regularly disappeared into the offices or were on vacation. Also was terminated for reasons outside my control even though I was told they look at the reasons for attendance incidents before termination. Never got to get the FMLA or accommodation to my doctors before being terminated two days after I requested them. Didn't bother asking for a raise either. I did multiple times and got nothing.
