Pros

Flexible within reason (must work weekends and you cannot request an out-time), my store had wonderful Team Members and great Team Leaders.

Cons

You are constantly forced to work a full shift if you aren't scheduled 8.5 hours, even if you have comittments for directly after work. If you refuse to stay the full 8 it's considered a "walk-off". It's fine if you need the hours, but if you have a family it's almost impossible to make plans. They schedule according to seniority, with the early shifts going to those who've been there longest. Not good for someone who has to be up at 5am with kids to have to work until midnight. The pay is disgusting. $7.40 per hour, with 15 cent raises every 750 hours worked. In service you top out at about $11.20 per hour. That takes 9 years to make $11.20 at 40hours per week. There are not enough cashiers, EVER. All the cashiers are running at full pace all day because they can't keep up, and when management finally hires someone, they quit in two weeks because their too overworked for a pathetic wage. Do not sell your labor for so cheap. Don't even apply. As soon as I finish college I'm quitting.

Pros

Direct coworkers were great to work with. I also enjoyed being left to do my work and not babysat by management.

Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing. Resets and floor plans were regularly not done properly. The store I worked at has a skeleton crew so I never got help (but was expected to stop everything I'm going to go help other departments/areas). Also meaning good luck to any customers needing help, especially when I was the only person working my area of the store, so when I wasn't there, no one was. Management also regularly disappeared into the offices or were on vacation. Also was terminated for reasons outside my control even though I was told they look at the reasons for attendance incidents before termination. Never got to get the FMLA or accommodation to my doctors before being terminated two days after I requested them. Didn't bother asking for a raise either. I did multiple times and got nothing.
