Pros

I mean i guess they offer you eye care and dental but not enough to cover anything really..

Cons

I was told in my interview i would get 9.75 starting (mind you this is in Illinois in which the minimum wage is 8.75 at the time) to find out 3 months later they lied to me and have been paying me 8.75 ( which is partially my fault for not checking or looking at how much they really paid me, a young and dumb mistake.) They promised me at least 24 hours a week which is part time because that is what i applied for. After my first week I was getting 40 hours a week ( 5 days a week, this went on for a bout 3 weeks) Then we had a change in management in the GM side for overnight ( we actually had 2 but the first one didn't really matter because he ended up on the grocery side after 1 week) they gradually started cutting my hours down 5 days, 3 days, 1 day a week. I thought they were trying to get rid of me so i asked 2 of the head people in charge what was going on with my hours and if it was because of something i have/had been doing/done. They told me " Oh no you're doing fine. We have to give the 4 new people we hired hours." They took hours out of my week and one other girl's week and that's it. But they only took 1 of her days away. and 4 of mine ( technically 2 because i'm only supposed to have 3 days a week because of part time.) After all that is said and done, I am putting in my 2 weeks today and instead of 1 day a week for 8.75 an hour i will be getting 11.79 an hour 6 days a week ;D

Pros

Direct coworkers were great to work with. I also enjoyed being left to do my work and not babysat by management.

Cons

Management doesn't know what they are doing. Resets and floor plans were regularly not done properly. The store I worked at has a skeleton crew so I never got help (but was expected to stop everything I'm going to go help other departments/areas). Also meaning good luck to any customers needing help, especially when I was the only person working my area of the store, so when I wasn't there, no one was. Management also regularly disappeared into the offices or were on vacation. Also was terminated for reasons outside my control even though I was told they look at the reasons for attendance incidents before termination. Never got to get the FMLA or accommodation to my doctors before being terminated two days after I requested them. Didn't bother asking for a raise either. I did multiple times and got nothing.
