Pros
I have worked for a few other companies in the past, but I have never enjoyed "work" as much as I do at Melaleuca. The internal culture is positive, empowering, and a place where people genuinely enjoy being. The company operates as a meritocracy as much as anywhere else, which means that the sky is the limit for anyone willing to work hard enough. I have personally seen this play out with multiple co-workers of mine, as they have gone above and beyond and seen tremendous career opportunities open in front of them. Melaleuca really has a great thing going, and I'm thrilled to be along for the ride and contributing to the company's growth and success the best I can.
Cons
Probably the greatest downside I'd point to actually occurs before working here, meaning that it can be tough to get in the door. The recruiters do a thorough job of evaluating talent and looking for the very best, but they also offer great feedback throughout the process as to why someone may or may not be a good fit for a given role. Besides that, the company expects a high level of performance from its employees, and it wants them to be active and engaged. The concept of simply clocking in and out every day is a foreign one here - active participation and continually seeking ways to improve and grow are encouraged and expected.
