Pros

Melaleuca is a great job for anyone at any level. They have many entry level positions with competitive pay, and lots of opportunities for growth. They sell quality products and treat their employee's very well. You get free products every month, they feed us every month end, have several employee events throughout the year, and give seasonal gifts.. Great benefits and management. The company culture is excellent as well with tons of positive energy and support for anyone who needs it. Additionally if you are a reliable employee with good performance, they can be very accommodating. I personally enjoyed my experience more in customer assistance, as it was more lucrative that customer service, and more focused on one job rather than being a jack of all trades. (Customer assistance works with owing balances vs customer service doing everything else) It was based on commission, with a higher hourly as well. You do need a competitive personality with resilience to rejection to be successful in customer assistance, but anyone can develop that, and management can help. There are many team meetings and opportunities for one on one interaction with supervisors for development and motivation.

Cons

I have heard that its hard to get internships there even if you are qualified. I believe they are trying to do better at that, but many of my friends went on to do other jobs because they didn't get an internship. Also, if you are in customer service, month end schedules can be much longer than your usual shift, and very busy. Customer assistance not so much. In Rexburg there is a lot of turnover because of college students coming and going, so it seems like everyone is always new. Also if you are in the Rexburg building it is very plain. Headquarters in Idaho Falls is like a castle. They have a restaurant, and offer services like grocery pick up and taking your car for an oil change. Nothing at all like that in Rexburg. All of that said, Melaleuca was a fantastic college job, and I had opportunities myself for growth that I decided against because I wanted to move elsewhere.

Pros

Great to work for, the people are kind and willing to help you with any problem you run into.

Cons

They're stingy with promotions and probably won't utilize you to your fullest capacity

Pros

- side benefits are okay - it is a median sort of job - I personally have some freedom do to personal professional development on the clock when there is no immediate need for my work (happens very little) - People half listen once they know you have been at Melaleuca after about 5 years

Cons

- No management that knows what they are doing - Not very customer-focused - Don't seek to fulfill their strategic imperatives or strategies or mission - Very hard for people to listen to you because you're new - They don't have a lot of integrity - Very slow to solve problems - Don't worry about making improvements in processes or tools we use - Slow AI usage and no proficiency in AI usage, strategies or implementation - Managers micromanage because Melaleuca is "unique" - Most of the positive things they tout all the time serves only the company's image, not the employees - Don't worry about giving raises in a timely manner - Not goal-oriented employer And I could probably keep going, but will stop here.
