Pros

I liked talking with the customers overall and being able to help.

Cons

I have thought positively about all my other jobs, but management in the Call Center (mainly customer service) is oppressive! Calls come in automatically without having a chance to answer, and you only have 8 minutes a day to turn off calls at all/take a break. That is not enough time to even breathe on some nonstop days! After talking for 4 hours, you would think you need a drink of water or a little snack or to run to the bathroom, but nope! No allowed time for those things. They also get you in trouble if there’s more than 6 seconds of “dead air” in the call, and they monitor everything on your screen (which is understandable, except they criticize every little thing that is not exactly “their way”). I’m a damn good worker and was recognized well by one of my managers, but the other ones would only jump in to pile on more work or say that you took a 9 minute break that day instead of 8 minutes. All for $10 an hour. I thought this was going to be a great opportunity and I went in so excited just to be treated like this. I worked there over 2 years ago and I still cannot believe that I did that to myself and worked there for 7 months. I am so happy in my new job and it makes me sad looking back on how poorly we were all treated. Never work in their call center if you don’t want to be controlled and micromanaged to the max.

Pros

Great to work for, the people are kind and willing to help you with any problem you run into.

Cons

They're stingy with promotions and probably won't utilize you to your fullest capacity

Pros

- side benefits are okay - it is a median sort of job - I personally have some freedom do to personal professional development on the clock when there is no immediate need for my work (happens very little) - People half listen once they know you have been at Melaleuca after about 5 years

Cons

- No management that knows what they are doing - Not very customer-focused - Don't seek to fulfill their strategic imperatives or strategies or mission - Very hard for people to listen to you because you're new - They don't have a lot of integrity - Very slow to solve problems - Don't worry about making improvements in processes or tools we use - Slow AI usage and no proficiency in AI usage, strategies or implementation - Managers micromanage because Melaleuca is "unique" - Most of the positive things they tout all the time serves only the company's image, not the employees - Don't worry about giving raises in a timely manner - Not goal-oriented employer And I could probably keep going, but will stop here.
