Pros

higher per diem pay rates, good shift differentials, per diem also gets hospital satisfaction bonuses

Cons

Sometimes limited shift availability. You have to be a system float pool to all hospitals to take advantage of higher differentials. Now per diem has to work a certain number of weekends and holidays, which I feel like we should not have to if we do not receive the same benefits as part-time or full-time employees.

Pros

The only positive aspects I can speak to are the opportunity to gain experience in a healthcare setting and the chance to work with some individuals who were dedicated and caring.

Cons

There were significant issues with communication, leadership support, and overall employee experience. I felt that concerns were not always handled appropriately, and there was a lack of consistency and transparency. More effort is needed to ensure employees feel valued, supported, and heard.
