Pros

Job security, they say to stay and grow within MH but sometimes opportunities are far and few between because they want experienced people but how can you gain experience if they don't give you opportunities to move into a new position, there doesnt seem to be a plan in place to work toward being able to transfer within the system, people are afraid to speak up or say anything negative because they feel they will be fired or treated poorly.

Cons

Salaried people are over worked and under compensated, it seems okay to work longer but if you have to leave early Look out, you seem to get attitude for having doctor appointments; Micro- Mgmt is over-whelming despite working long hours... Mgmt doesnt seem to trust the employees.... Compensation is low considering all the hours we must put in... Also, it can be very difficult to transfer to a department because they want ppl with experience, how can you get experience if you arent given an opportunity. Benefits are not great and MH is a healthcare system

Pros

Quality care. Patient focused. Room for growth depending on skill but sometimes based on who you know which is a con. Lots of great providers who really care.

Cons

A lot of politics and favortism. People get promoted in leadership that don't deserve it which makes for a miserable experience for those working with them . Some senior leaders are disrespectful, overly demanding, disregard others time and effort, manipulative, aggressive, belittling, don't understand the workload of others, inflict punishment based on their feelings or because they want to, do things for their own benefit and are dishonest.
