Pros

If you have a good manager, your experience is generally good in this organization. It used to be a good place to expect a long term carreer

Cons

Decisions made at the upper levels have destroyed the morale of the employees below the CEO of the hospital. In addition, the CEO sent a tone deaf statement out to the organization as a whole after a specific department had mass layoffs due to their budgeting mistake. Future layoffs seem to obviously on the horizon and it appears to potentially be a yearly issue moving forward. Employees with a ton of tenure are not necessarily "valued" and the organization is doing the bare minimum(or less) to support those that lost their position through the latest (and likely future rounds of layoffs coming due to the massive expense on the Epic implementation)

Pros

A lot of people to work with and a great amount of exposure to different in-house counsel areas. If you are proactive, there are plenty of people willing to try and meet with you and explain things, though their time is limited. If you can pick at their brains, the Attorneys of the smartest and most hard-working individuals you'll meet. They have some fun events and team-bonding,

Cons

Lack of diversity in interns, which make fit and experience difficult. Even upon meeting diverse staff and people, there always seems to be a barrier and front. Attorneys generally have little time to teach you, but they do their best. Compensation is lackluster, but benefits and events are fun. Sometimes work can lag, and you must be proactive in seeking it out for yourself.
