Pros

The mission and research community are good.

Cons

Too many disparate systems that don't answer your questions. Too many people who consider you not their problem even though other departments have directed you to them and not even referring you to someone else or telling you how the task you have to do could be done. Being sent a link to a page that you had already checked and it did not have the answer you needed, which was why you were asking, was not great. The benefits were only so-so at best. Having to argue for the postdocs to make a living wage was not great. Also, the ability to get accommodations was absolutely terrible.

Pros

A lot of people to work with and a great amount of exposure to different in-house counsel areas. If you are proactive, there are plenty of people willing to try and meet with you and explain things, though their time is limited. If you can pick at their brains, the Attorneys of the smartest and most hard-working individuals you'll meet. They have some fun events and team-bonding,

Cons

Lack of diversity in interns, which make fit and experience difficult. Even upon meeting diverse staff and people, there always seems to be a barrier and front. Attorneys generally have little time to teach you, but they do their best. Compensation is lackluster, but benefits and events are fun. Sometimes work can lag, and you must be proactive in seeking it out for yourself.
