Pros

Lovely people. Sometimes there are difficult patients, but the good ones could change your life. They do employee surveys once every 3 years and they take them very seriously. Most managers are intelligent and competent.

Cons

There are some layers. If your on the bottom of the ladder, do what you can to shine, but even the smallest project have 10 hands in the cookie jar. If your manager is poor, its hard to deal with them. They don't fire people at the top of the ladder easily. When climbing the ladder, a lot of it is luck, not skill. By the way, if your a Session Assistant, don't stay in the job for any more than 2 years. Either look for a job elsewhere at MSKCC or leave. Don't hold out for the Practice Leader position as those are impossible to get. Some of the brightest and most skilled people I know have been turned down for that position as the competition is STIFF.
