Pros

Benefits and good pay are about the only pros

Cons

Unfair work environment where favoritism is obvious. You may have a heavy work assignment while another person in the same position has a lighter, if overworked they ask you to be flexible instead of providing solutions. Often you will work over your hours without breaks. Impossible job to maintain a work life balance especially if you’re a new mother because you may stay in clinic until 7-8pm some nights. Vacation requests often get declined due to short staffing. Very difficult to climb the clinical ladder and hardly room for growth. They will try and sell you by saying everyone’s fun and young and supportive. Most nurses have only been there a few years because everyone ends up leaving due to the environment. It’s a very draining, demanding and thankless job. Do not do it.

Pros

A lot of people to work with and a great amount of exposure to different in-house counsel areas. If you are proactive, there are plenty of people willing to try and meet with you and explain things, though their time is limited. If you can pick at their brains, the Attorneys of the smartest and most hard-working individuals you'll meet. They have some fun events and team-bonding,

Cons

Lack of diversity in interns, which make fit and experience difficult. Even upon meeting diverse staff and people, there always seems to be a barrier and front. Attorneys generally have little time to teach you, but they do their best. Compensation is lackluster, but benefits and events are fun. Sometimes work can lag, and you must be proactive in seeking it out for yourself.
