Pros

…..You get to leave each day

Cons

MSK Commack was the worst experience of my professional career solely because of management in that building. It is the most toxic, negative work environment and the entire staff is miserable due to the horrible leadership. Don’t even bother contacting HR because they treat MSK Commack like the red headed step child “out of sight out of mind” staff resign and or transfer locations by the dozen and upper management doesn’t do a thing. And to top it off when your being worked to death the salaries are awful.

Pros

A lot of people to work with and a great amount of exposure to different in-house counsel areas. If you are proactive, there are plenty of people willing to try and meet with you and explain things, though their time is limited. If you can pick at their brains, the Attorneys of the smartest and most hard-working individuals you'll meet. They have some fun events and team-bonding,

Cons

Lack of diversity in interns, which make fit and experience difficult. Even upon meeting diverse staff and people, there always seems to be a barrier and front. Attorneys generally have little time to teach you, but they do their best. Compensation is lackluster, but benefits and events are fun. Sometimes work can lag, and you must be proactive in seeking it out for yourself.
