Pros

Staff is nice--great nurses to work with and clearly has a culture of teamwork. Pay is good, especially on night shift. $2000 tuition reimbursement per semester x2 semesters a year.

Cons

Some managers are not supportive enough of staff----must be a committee member in order to get a raise and/or transfer to another unit. Hires too many new grads into ICU instead of transferring staff from Step-down unit.

Pros

I work with some people who truly care about patient care The brand still matters within the regional industry

Cons

- Terrible new leadership who has created a toxic work environment. - Those who haven't been laid off are certainly looking for opportunities elsewhere. - They do not invest in their employees. Old equipment and laptops, deny training opportunities. - They are in a challenging financial situation and that is felt everywhere. - Massive layoffs means every team is understaffed and overworked. HR is a shell of its former self.
