Pros

As most retail jobs, flexibility is always a benefit, part-time allows for that kind of flexibility, being able to adjust my schedule as necessary, Hence, a great work life balance and the ability to take on and learn other skills and jobs.

Cons

Managements' focus: they focus on corporate key factors and less about the workers. The focus is getting the product out; which is understandable, but 'how' is issue. There are employees that have a solid work ethic and others that don't, for those that are not putting forth a true effort, such as walking about the store, rather than working, or stocking, or just not accounted for, receive the same wage increases as those that are always doing their job. Wage doesn't reflect the employees worth. A pathetic 10 cent increase is an insult to those that are more than showing up and putting forth their effort and pulling the weight of those that just "show up". Also, if you work 1000 hours annually, then you will receive an annual bonus, which is great. However, taking almost 30% in taxes is ludicrous.

40+ Hours per week of work guaranteed.

Cons

A toxic work environment can lead to termination without warning. Senior management prioritizes their interests and the company’s well-being, often disregarding employees’ rights and legal obligations. HR’s role is to protect senior management and the company, potentially at the expense of employees’ rights. Senior management continually chooses to a blind eye to wrong doing of favored employees, while knowingly prioritizing punishment of lower employees using fabricated policies that aren’t actually within store policy and procedures. Lack of accountability, lack of transparency, and lack of integrity run rampant with in the store and company. Unethical hiring practices, and weaponized incompetence to justify the out right gaslighting of your financial income and incentives. Pay deductions common place.
