Pros
The most rewarding part of this job is working with the clients. You truly feel like you’re making a difference in people’s lives, and that can be incredibly fulfilling. The work itself is meaningful, and helping others on their journey is what makes this job worth it.
Cons
Unfortunately, the management and supervisory support leave much to be desired. There’s a strong focus on profits and increasing billable hours, often at the expense of both staff well-being and client care. Supervisors tend to lack the qualifications and empathy needed to support clinicians effectively, and the hiring process for leadership roles doesn’t always prioritize finding the right fit. Overall, upper management seems disconnected from the needs of both clients and employees, with decisions often driven more by numbers than by genuine care.
