Pros

The Health & Welfare benefit plans the company offers are good. The paid time off is generous.

Cons

Expect to work long hours, weekends, holidays, because the work is never done. Expect any OT to NOT be approved. You work 65 hours and get paid for 40. The pay is very low...like morale. Expect to be asked to give up some of your vacation time. You are offered much paid time off, but getting to use it is a challenge. There is not a standard training program for new Health & Welfare Analysts. It's all hands-on learning with little to no support. Other analysts can't help you learn because they can't spare any time away from their own client work. Expect to be micro-managed by a team lead who can't help problem-solve because s/he doesn't know how to do the tasks that the analyst has to do. The team leads don't add value.

Pros

-Trustworthy immediate colleagues -Good work/life balance and flexibility

Cons

-Little career pathing within company. Organization is extremely siloed, and cheap as they simply aren't interested in paying for small things to advance one's career like local industry conferences and events such as team holiday dinners that would have minimal impact on the company's bottom line. -Pay not aligned with skills or talent marketplace -One would think a benefits/career consultant would have decent pay and benefits. This is not the case
