Flexible culture and good work/life balance, but don't expect much in the way of compensation or management transparency - Analyst Mercer Employee Review

Pros

Great work/life balance, flexible culture (ability to work from home), truly global firm, very bright and nice colleagues, easy to transfer from one Mercer office to another.

Cons

Poor compensation, NOT a meritocracy (people are promoted based on how long they've been at the firm and held out... not based on achievement. You will not see someone with 2 years' experience be promoted before someone with 4 years' experience for example, even if the achievement and effort warrants it), no transparency whatsoever when it comes to management. Management is secretive, does not filter down information to the ranks.
