Pros

I came over to Mercury this week and cannot say or feel anything other than that I made the right decision. The welcome made me feel as if I was wanted and the team acted very happy to have me join them. It is a pretty relaxed atmosphere in general and the overall vibe I get is that people are content working here. They have a big emphasis on company morale and employees seem excited to be here. Examples: - Handwritten 1st Day Welcome note waiting for me at my desk - My cube name tag was already waiting for me displayed in my cube - Overnight shipping from MA with my badge so I could feel part of the team immediately with my official badge - Welcome to Mercury Fruit Basket sent to my house - wife was very impressed - Awesome Coffee machines in break room - endless free coffee - Selection of snacks and stuff to grab if you are hungry - New, ergonomic chair waiting for me - Welcome email to the team saying, "If you see this guy [My Picture] make him feel welcome, he is new and here to help us out." - Daily facilities cleaning crew, the place is spotless Neither at Boeing nor Raytheon was the onboarding process so welcoming with so many little details. I am very impressed. Aside from the pampering, they are working with very cool technology and doing very interesting things with the newest state-of-the-art available chips. I can tell I am going to be happy here.

Cons

None so far. Only good things to say.

Pros

Great people. Good starting pay, bonus plan, 401k match. PTO is encouraged (at least by my direct management and others). Many company holidays and a Christmas shutdown that makes taking 2 weeks off very easy (using some PTO days). Lots of interesting work and projects. Lots of opportunity to be part of different project phases and responsibilites.

Cons

Lean teams means you're likely juggling more than what's preferred/reasonable. Changing priorities can make closing out tasks difficult. Annual salary increases around 3-5% are reasonable but can be underwhelming given the amount of work and stress the job typically requires. Never recieved any market adjustment (while other local companies have), larger than expected salary increases, or anything that shows above average employee appreciation regarding pay.
