Pros

Great benefits package and nice co workers

Cons

Mercy Hospital claims to value and care for its employees, but my experience tells a very different story. While their mission statement emphasizes compassion and support, the reality for staff who fall ill is anything but understanding. When employees get sick—something entirely out of their control—they are often met with reprimands and even occurrences, rather than support. This approach creates a stressful and demoralizing environment, especially for those who are already doing their best to meet the demands of a challenging job. It’s incredibly hypocritical for a healthcare organization to claim they prioritize their team’s well-being while penalizing them for something as basic as their health.
