Pros

You only have to work every 3rd weekend, insurance is ok.

Cons

There is a high turn over rate here. Very few advancement opportunities. Raises are very low. Constantly understaffed. 5 to 1 patient ratio on step down unit (and have to pull sheaths) with hardly any help from STNAs. If you are a new grad they will make you sign a two year contract for for minimum pay. If you break contract they want 10,000 dollars even though you didn't get a sign on bonus. It's not worth all the work they expect you to do. You go home every day wondering how you will make it through the next or if you will be jeopardizing your license that you worked so hard for.

Pros

They give you decent time off especially after you've been there a number of years.

Cons

I think your experience all depends a lot on manager-- some care, some don't care enough.
