Pros

Bedside nursing staff in critical care stick together and help each other when in need. Teamwork is strong.

Cons

Management is terrible. Poor communication between administration and bedside staff. Staff will voice concerns about unsafe practices happening within the hospital and issue will never be adressed. Or retaliation will be sought out against those staff members. Several new physicians have been brought in offering no experience. They are allowing these physicians to operate despite the fact their mortalities arw greater than success. They keep them because they save money. Meanwhile the physicians with years of experience are being forced to leave. Same with nursing staff. They are getting rid of experience and hiring fresh graduates into the critical care without any experience. Mistakes are being made. Families are being killed. BUT they are making money. 😉

Pros

They give you decent time off especially after you've been there a number of years.

Cons

I think your experience all depends a lot on manager-- some care, some don't care enough.
