Pros

If you want to one-on-one sit with a random patient every shift you probably will. You can pick up shifts for up to time and a half + $15 basically whenever. Available as part time, full time, or 36 hr/6 weeks.

Cons

Horrible organization on float pool. Sitting one-on-one almost every shift which means there isn't much opportunity to learn about different patients. Some floor's nurses do not help at all, and if you are on the floor you are almost always alone. The hospital is a Catholic institution so it can feel a little uncomfortable if you are not Catholic or do not share Catholic views.

Pros

They give you decent time off especially after you've been there a number of years.

Cons

I think your experience all depends a lot on manager-- some care, some don't care enough.
