Pros

You have the comfort of knowing that they will not close their doors because they are a large health system.

Cons

I spent 15+ years at Mercy and have seen it all. I have been an analyst, PC Technician and Networking and I can say that none of those positions are managed well. The Wisconsin supervisor will email and text you every 60 seconds until you respond (Emergency Emergency!) even when it's a low priority task. They are split into 2 groups between Rockford and Janesville and neither side like each other so that makes things awkward. On top of them treating you like a piece of meat that can easily be replaced, they constantly are rewarding people who do the least amount of work and have the lowest knowledge in the department, you'll find at this point they are the most seniored people there in both support & networking because they have no where else they can go. This has also resulted on the best and brightest all walking out on this company for greener pastures just for leadership to call them unmotivated and just wanting promotions for nothing. The current leadership is severely bloated, call center supervisor, call center manager, pc tech supervisor, pc tech manager on n on on all the way up to the top where there are directors for directors. What a waste of money for this company. I can't recommend you consider this place for employment in IT when most other places treat their people better.

Pros

I think this is a great company to work for. Although, I have chosen a different career path in Human Resources/Talent Acquisition. I think Project SEARCH is a key aspect of this being a best place to work.

Cons

I dont really have any at this time
