Pros

hard working people. Feels like family. If you like steady hrs and consistent pay and love overtime. Variety of shifts available

Cons

If your not an engineer or not in any prestigious position, this is a "DEAD END JOB". Your in the wrong place if your planning to go to school, they will not compromise and hrs are very demanding, you would be mentally exhausted. No raises or bonuses. As far as opportunity, yes there are plenty of open positions "FOR A REASON". If the high turnover rate doesn't speak for its self. I've seen many talented and smart people come and go cause they always find better options. Experience trained operators are constantly leaving due to lack of reward or incentives. Around 2008 during the market crash, Merit received a higher volume of applicants which made them confident that no raises to employees were required to encourage them to stay, playing there fear of loosing there jobs. Nothing's changed since.

Pros

Dedicated employees, meaningful work, strong technical talent, and a collaborative environment focused on product.

Cons

Communication between leadership and the production floor can sometimes be indirect, resulting in assumptions, delays, and avoidable rework. More hands-on engagement from management would improve efficiency and alignment. Raises are practically nonexistence. Whatever salary you start, be sure to be happy with it for the next few years or be prepare to switch company.
