Pros

When I was with the company there was a good work-life balance and I was able to make friends that I believe I will be in contact with for my entire life. Although the majority of products are considered "commodity" products, they are very solid and the job is altruistic; you get to be involved in helping patients achieve better health. Fred Lampropoulous really cares about his employees and has done a fantastic job of giving people in the home office every opportunity to get healthcare, dental care, etc. He was essentially the only CEO that any of the sales reps had ever heard of who would encourage and participate in phone calls from reps! It was very cool However, in January of 2016, there were changes and Fred became less involved.

Cons

The compensation package was never very good. Most reps believe that there was always a carrot being dangled in front of them and when they'd get close to grabbing it, management would change the compensation plan. There used to be a lot of reps who would stay with the company for 20+ years but when new management took over in January of 2016, everything changed. The culture went very dark, people were being promoted into jobs that they were completely unqualified for and the compensation plan got even harder to achieve.

Pros

Dedicated employees, meaningful work, strong technical talent, and a collaborative environment focused on product.

Cons

Communication between leadership and the production floor can sometimes be indirect, resulting in assumptions, delays, and avoidable rework. More hands-on engagement from management would improve efficiency and alignment. Raises are practically nonexistence. Whatever salary you start, be sure to be happy with it for the next few years or be prepare to switch company.
