Pros
Good technology. Company is growing so there is some sort of job security. You've got to be a complete idiot to get fired. Even then, they would probably give you small mind numbing tasks rather than lose the manpower.
Cons
Management is far too removed from the daily work load to understand the dynamics of what really goes on. Poor communication skills within the department. A closing shift is from 9 to whatever management feels like they want to have on the schedule. Be prepared for 10 sometimes 11 hour days up to three times a week. If you do manage to get out in 8 hours, you're too exhausted to enjoy your off time even on weekends. I thought getting a degree would mean I no longer had to work frantically to keep a roof over my head. Instead, I feel like I'm working a fast food lunch rush all day. Beware of false praise on glassdoor coming from management secretly leaving reviews. No one doing the grunt work has anything good to say about this place. Experiencing growing pains is one thing, but when everyone keeps quitting you should take a bigger picture look at this department. This place will suck you dry and still try to squeeze more out of you. Wherever you are please PLEASE PLEASE stay there. You'll regret it. I've heard good things about other departments but can't comment on them. If you want to enjoy life, this isn't the job you want.
