Pros

Cons
For anyone considering this company please read this: This company will literally drain the life out of you. You will feel micromanaged as soon as you step foot in this place, literally. This company could squeeze blood out of a penny as cheap as they are when it comes to every purchase that they make. Even though they are cheap they still rather spend money on fixing old equipment instead of buying new replacements. The lack of advancement of equipment will make your head spin if you know that there is newer and better equipment available for use. As far as work morale and socialization let me just say this…MSD is nothing but a high school filled with cliques. If you don’t fit into one clique that clique will make it their business to smear your name. Sadly the name smearing will affect your work and ability to communicate with other employees because they’ll believe the lies another coworker spread about you. If you’ve ever seen the old Apple commercial from the 1980’s where the people walk in looking the same and dressed the same…That’s what it’s like working at MSD. If you stray from that norm of the company by suggesting improvements or if you are an subordinate who is more knowledgeable than your supervisor and the supervisor notices YOU WILL HAVE A TARGET ON YOUR BACK. There will be coworkers who will try to throw you under the bus by trying to sabotage your work or blatantly lying so that they can get in good with department supervisors and managers so definitely beware. All of the negative reviews that are on this site are true. Sadly when I starting working for the company it had a 2.3 rating. I decided to give the company a chance because it was new in the biotech industry and figured it couldn’t be that bad, but it is. If you just want a paycheck work here, If you want a career don’t waste your time with this company.
