Pros

Metlife is a global company and they are expanding around the world. They provide great employee benefit package and normal vacation to start out with. They have gotten more competitive with their salary.

Cons

MetLife has many systems that the employee needs to shuffle through on an hourly basis. None of the systems 'speak' to one another which makes it very cumbersome to look anything up. There are not many advanced tools to allow you to do the job that you need to do in a timely and accurately fashion.

Pros

I loved my job and my coworkers, and the company's health benefits were outstanding. Leaving wasn't an easy decision, but it was the right one.

Cons

I had a toxic manager who micromanaged everything—checking time reports, tracking lunch breaks, and monitoring every minute away from your desk. They often sent multiple emails to communicate a single point because they struggled to communicate clearly. High-visibility projects were consistently given to favorites, while the rest of the team was overlooked. They were also frequently condescending in team huddles and meetings. Based on my experience, they were never taught how to lead people effectively, and I'm genuinely surprised they're still in a management role.
