Pros

We are all close in age (younger than 40) and all get along. Management is really good!

Cons

We work in the basement and it is really stuffy and gross. They can't regulate the air so some days it 30 degrees and others 90.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
